Our commitment
Lakhani Music Academy & Live Events Ltd. is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive experience for all visitors, clients and students, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and to align our practices with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure on every page.
- A visible "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Text and background colours chosen to meet AA contrast ratios.
- Clear, visible focus outlines so keyboard users can always see where they are.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Descriptive links, labelled form fields, and buttons that make sense out of context.
- A responsive layout that works across phones, tablets and desktops, and supports browser zoom and text resizing.
- Support for the "reduced motion" setting, which removes non-essential animation.
Accessible services
Our commitment goes beyond the website. When you book a performance or enrol in lessons, we're happy to discuss accommodations — from venue access considerations for events to flexible, online-first lesson formats for students who cannot attend in person. Please let us know how we can help.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We test our site as we build and update it, and we continue to look for ways to improve. If any part of the site or our service falls short, we want to know so we can fix it.
