Lakhani Music Academy & Live Events is a hybrid venture: a professional live-music band and a drumming and percussion academy, operating together in Mississauga, Ontario and across the Greater Toronto Area. One side puts great music on stage; the other keeps producing the musicians who play it.
Our story
Reliable live music — and a real way onto the stage.
Anyone who books live entertainment knows the two problems: performers whose quality is hit-or-miss, and the last-minute cancellation that leaves an event scrambling. And anyone who has taken music lessons knows the other gap — you learn the basics, but never quite get to perform.
Lakhani was created to close both gaps at once. By running a live band and a teaching academy as one business, we keep a deep, rehearsed roster for events and a steady pipeline of players coming up through the school. Students learn from working musicians; the band draws its future members from the students. The result is music that's dependable to book and an education that actually leads somewhere.

The founder
A decade on stage, a career in front of the camera.
Raheel Lakhani is a professional drummer and percussionist with more than ten years of live-performance and business experience. As a drummer for Pakistan Television (PTV) and other regional networks, he performed at prestigious events, TV shows and national broadcasts, developing deep expertise in live performance, event coordination and musical direction.
His playing has taken him alongside renowned artists including Sanam Marvi, Alamgir, Fiza Javed and M. Ali Shehki. He is a long-standing honorary musician with the Aga Khan Ismaili Orchestras, and served as a musician and Managing Committee Member across three seasons of the Voice of AKU — championing young players and cultural programming.
Alongside music, Raheel completed ACCA Fundamentals at the College of Accounting and Management Sciences and worked as a Sales Executive Manager at Flyguide Consultancy, leading strategic sales, client relationships and the full sales cycle. That blend of artistry and operational discipline is the backbone of how Lakhani is run.
